Appearance: It has a long neck and has black markings on its face, its tail, and its feet.
Size:It is about two feet long, and it weighs two to three pounds.
Lifespan: It lives about twelve years.
Location:It lives in the Rocky Mountains and in the Great Plains.
Food:It eats prairie dogs, mice, and other small animals.
Habitat:It lives in old prairie dog holes.
Interesting facts:The black-footed ferret is underground 99% of the time. There are 1000 black-footed ferrets in captivity and only 80 in the wild. The black-footed ferret is loathed by most farmers. It is an endangered species.
